Our School
Welcome to the Pendergrass Academy of Martial Arts (PAMA). PAMA is a 1,300 square foot training facility that provides instruction in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, and Self Defense. Our academy offers a friendly training environment for people to learn an extremely effective system of self-defense, gain confidence, improve overall physical health, have fun, and make great friends. PAMA strives to provide a clean and safe training environment where every student feels welcomed and at home. We are the only sanctioned and recognized Gustavo Machado affiliate school in the entire state of North Carolina. Therefore, we are extremely fortunate to have Gustavo teach several group seminars at our academy throughout the year.
The school is owned and operated by Guy and Rob Pendergrass, certified instructor of Brazilian Jiu Jtsu. Guy and Rob are truly passionate about teaching martial arts to all individuals including men, women, and children. The academy provides many different programs including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and No-Gi BJJ training, beginner and advanced classes, MMA (mixed martial arts), and Boxing. The Wake Forest Community has welcomed the Pendergrass Academy with open arms, including them in special community events such as the National Night Out safety program (coordinated by the Wake Forest police department) and the Heritage Safety Day event.
