4 Submissions in Sequence from the Jump the Shoulder Position
We’re going to start off with a shoulder lock, then we’ll go into an armbar. Then we’re going to go into the triangle and lastly we’ll go into an omoplata. These techniques are based on your opponent defending these positions. Start off in the guard position. In this case we are wearing the gi so you’ll have control at his collar and at his sleeve.
First get your angle by shrimping your hips out a bit and jump the shoulder, lock your guard up. We’re going to grab with the c grip inside of our opponent’s wrist. and we’re going to pull to the side.
A lot of times when you go for the shoulder lock your opponent will start to drive his shoulder through. When he starts to drive it through we’re going to switch and go for an armbar. It is good to keep the hand on the collar just for posture control.
Now if he pulls his arm all the way out because he’s defending the armbar, then You’re going to switch your hip out and lock up the triangle.
Now if he starts to posture up defending that triangle choke, you’re going to take your outside arm, swim it through to get his wrist to the outside of your body. Using your free hand, push his head away. Transition over so you can do a bite on the shoulder with the triangle position. Grab your opponent’s belt, sit up and hug the back. Leaning forward going for the omoplata.
