Single Leg Takedown from De La Riva
Starting in De La Riva, oftentimes you may have a cross sleeve grip or a cross collar grip but your opponent will break those grips.
When your opponent breaks your grips you’ll extend your leg and kick up.
It would be great to go for a sweep, but as you sit up and post your foot on his knee, your opponent will push it down.
Your opponent will then drive his knee in. Making this an uncomfortable position for you.
You’ll need to be posted on your elbow or hand. Make sure that your arm is hooked around your opponent’s knee. Next, you’ll be doing a technical stand-up.
Next, your hand will go to your opponent’s ankle.
